Do you ask your (prospective) tenants for the right information, at the right time and in a responsible way?

From March 2022 The Office of the Privacy Commissioner will start to perform regular checks on how landlords, property managers and agencies are operating. This will include mystery shopper activities.

In line with this new compliance programme, we have tailored a service for landlords, property managers and agencies. This service includes an audit of your application forms, collection notices, contract forms and privacy policies. Moreover, we will give you training to ensure that you as a landlord, manager or agency are compliant and aware of your obligations under the law. Most importantly we provide your organisation with a Privacy Officer, which is a mandatory requirement under the Privacy Act 2020. This role ensures you and your team receive guidance and solutions to any privacy-related issues that may arise.
